Metro picks 15 to advise on land acquisitions
In 2006 voters approved a $227 million bond measure to protect natural areas and lands near rivers and streams throughout the metro region. The Metro Council included a requirement for an independent oversight committee. Members of the committee are drawn from a variety of real estate disciplines.

The YLG is comprised of up and coming professionals, under the age of 35, who work for top real estate firms in the region. The primary goal of the YLG is to bring together young professionals working in real estate development for professional development, education, and networking.

The Portland Business Journal has selected the winners of its annual 40 Under 40 awards program. A panel of judges reviewed nominations from members of the business community and selected the 40 winners based on three main criteria -- business leadership, community leadership and career path.


PSU design team wins regional competition
A team of seven graduate students from Portland State University won the 3rd Annual NAIOP Pacific Northwest Real Estate Challenge in Seattle, Washington, defeating teams from the University of Washington, Washington State University, and University of British Columbia.
